Meet Olivija
In 2024 at the age of 2 (a month shy of her 3rd birthday) Olivija was diagnosed with B-Cell Leukemia. So instead of celebrating with cake, kids, her favorite toys, we began a very long intense treatment plan surrounded with lots of medicine, hospital stays, monitors, syringes and sanitizers wipes, a whole new path in life overnight.
This diagnosis you face two battles. One being the illness itself and the other, living in a world where so few people understand what you’re up against.
We hear don’t let your child’s cancer diagnosis define you. Maybe, but we get to decide if it does and for how long. Our hearts have been broken, our greatest fears confronted and we have forcefully accepted the painful path that we never would have chosen for our child.
The world we see now is not the one we knew before cancer, but it has made us who we are today. We are not defined by this, we are transformed.
